The Mega Millions Lottery is, along with Powerball, one of the ‘big two’ multi-state lottery games in the USA. Mega Millions is currently played in 40 different states and draws take place twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The Mega Millions jackpot has a base value of $12 million and if no player wins the jackpot outright it rolls over to the next draw. This rollover feature has helped to create some extremely large Mega Millions jackpots in the past, including one in March 2007 that was worth $390 million.
